wicks are made from either cotton or wood. pure cotton wicks don't stand up straight, so many manufacturers add traces of heavy metals to their cotton wicks. when burnt, cotton wicks release traces of heavy metals into your air (and home).
a wood wick, however, is a cleaner alternative to cotton wicks. you can feel confident knowing that milk jar's wood wick candles release no harmful by-products when lit.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF WOOD WICKS?
wood wicks contain no heavy metals and result in a cleaner burn. they are environmentally friendly and emit candle scents quicker. wood wicks also create a dancing flame that crackles and instantly makes spaces inviting and cozy.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF COCONUT WAX?
coconut soy candles provide many benefits. soy wax burns 30-50% slower than paraffin wax, giving you a candle that lasts longer. it's also environmentally friendly, produces minimal to no soot while burning, and releases no harmful toxins into the air.
HOW LONG DOES ONE CANDLE LAST?
a 10 oz milk jar coconut candle lasts 50-55 hours, and our 5 oz tins last around 30 hours.
HOW ARE MILK JAR’S COCONUT CANDLES SCENTED?
milk jar candles get their rich scents from either essential oils or phthalate-free fragrance oils.
WHY WON'T MY WOOD WICK CANDLE STAY LIT?
if you have trouble keeping your wood wick candle lit, trim the wood wick's ashy end by gently breaking it. please make sure you do this once your wood wick has completely cooled.
